So, finally got around to watching Slumdog and thought to myself, "wonder how many movies I can get thru before college starts..." so, I'm going to find out! Not like I've got much else planned, and FYI, yes, I loved Slumdog. Still don't get how people could think it's better than The Dark Knight, but whatever.

So, I've finally quit my miserable job to take the summer off and prepare for school this fall. I've never felt so relieved... Defo have more time to blog now and catch up ok my graphic-sharing.

Bummed

So, I'm in a bummy mood right now. I hate, hate, hate work; it just leaves me tired all the time. Last night I found out that my great grandma of 96 years passed away and it really frustrates me that I can't get up to Michigan to the funeral because there's no way I can get any time off from work. I'm not making nearly enough money to afford to lose a few days and they don't have a substitute for me anywhore. I also finally put my roleplaying days to an end. I loved all the characters I created, but I had so many, it took too much time just figuring out how exactly I was going to manage them all. On top of that, by the time the weekend rolls around, after not having the energy to do anything all week, there are just so many other things I'd rather do than RP. I'm sure it also didn't help that no one's really into Harry Potter anymore. There are only two movies left, no new books left, and godamned Twilight went and took over the pre-teen universe. You know, bring it bitches, the books suck. The plots are fair at best and hardly original, they totally violate the mythology of vampirism and the only reason any girl reads them in the first place is because of perfect, beautiful Edward Cullen. That alone makes the books a bad influence on teen girls. I mean, of course he's perfect. He's the most romanticized character ever created. Girls will only ever be disappointed when they don't find anyone as perfect or sparkly as him. Okay, okay, enough of that.
I feel a bit better about quitting the RP knowing that Koj and Sarah are going, too. Clearly, as fun as it is, there's an age limit on that kind of thing. That point being up until the time you have to worry about actual responsibilities like school and a job. It's kind of relieving because now I have all this extra time to do all the stuff I forgot I liked to do. *facepalm*

I can't believe they came so fast! I only ordered them 3 days ago. I wasn't expecting them before Grace's birthday, let alone before we went to see the movie!!! Sorry the quality of some are fairly craptastic. My camera was being difficult, so I couldn't turn down the flash, and shots get kinda grainy in the dark.

I'm so super-excited about my new Coraline dolls. Ordered them on Amazon the other day, so they should be here in a week or two. Price is a bit steep, but my sister and I split the cost and we're going to share them. ^_^
Still waiting on my Repo! dvd, too. So much great stuff coming my way!

Wow, I swear I never abandoned LJ, I just didn't have anything worth talking about till now, if that makes any sense. Soooo....
Got a new camera for Christmas, 'tis fantabulous. And, just today, I got my new Iomega 1tb external hard drive. Because like my uncle says, "shooting in RAW on your Canon is a great way to eat up your hard drive."

Right though, silly me, you didn't come here to hear about my new toys, you came for the Repo!!!!!
Enjoy. Credit's nice, but in this case, I just care about spreading the Repo! love. Speaking of which, I'll be damned if I can remember where I actually got the caps, but if I remember, I'll be sure to update this post. Hope to make some banners to go along with sometime soon.
